I’m not an expert on nib pens and don’t have a ton of strongly held opinions about brands but my general advice would be not to spend a ton of money, the cheap stuff is great for beginners and intermediates. Here’s what I’m using and enjoying lately:
Tachikawa T-40 Nib Holder (I bought a more expensive one & this one is much better!)
Thanks for being here,

Oh man I gotta get back into nibs.... well worth the mess!!
This totally resonates. I hated my handwriting for years because of basic Bic pens. Stumbling onto one of my parents' ultra fine tip pens rocked my world because I could finally produce the handwriting that reflected ME and the beautiful thoughts that were informing my words. This makes me want to explore whether my struggles with drawing have been a matter of using the wrong tools. I've been too intimidated to try nibs because I assumed they were 'only for real artists', but now I'm excited to try them and other pens.
