• It should be noted that Demi’s full statement contains more nuance, and it seems like we agree human art is irreplaceable, and she even goes so far as to say that A.I. “probably” isn’t regulated enough! But man, I just can’t get on board with her limp, weak stance that there’s no fight to have here, that it’s a losing battle, that there isn’t anything to fear.

  A.I. is totally deregulated and in the hands of malicious, powerful, corrupt people. I think A.I. is certainly something to fear, for creatives, for humanity, for the planet. I think it’s our responsibility to call for A.I. regulation – and at the very least, to say we think A.I. “art” sucks ass!!! Of course there are plenty of influential people who are doing and saying & selling worse things than Demi! That little chunk of her quote has just made the rounds recently and it’s what got my mind churning during these sleepless hours. Demi, if you’re reading this, let’s talk!
